What is RYLA?

RYLARYLA provides you with 5 days of fun, adventure, team and leadership building.

It provides you with the opportunity to learn more about yourself and take on leadership roles in a supportive and caring environment. The camp is held at Camp Clayton, Ulverstone. (See Venue page)

Ryla 2011 was held from 8th - 13th May.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is Rotary's leadership training program for young people. RYLA participants can be aged 18-30, but individual applications outside this age range may be considered.

RYLA emphasises leadership, citizenship, personal growth and aims to:

  • Demonstrate Rotary's respect and concern for youth
  • Provide an effective training experience for selected youth and potential leaders
  • Encourage leadership of youth by youth
  • Recognises publicly young people who are rendering service to their communities
