The Annual Cradle Coast Rotary Art Exhibition and Sale is in its 24th year.
Known as “ArtEx”, this event has grown to be a respected and highly regarded event on both the Art and Cradle Coast Calendars. Held in November each year at the Ulverstone Civic Centre, it gives local and Tasmanian artists the perfect opportunity to display and sell their work. Click here to download the entry form ![]()

ArtEx runs for 10 days and is an exhibition and sale of paintings by Tasmanian artists organised by the Rotary Club of Ulverstone West in conjunction with The North West Art Circle. 2010 saw 132 artists submit 220 paintings for display. Over 20% of the paintings were sold which is a high percentage for a regional art exhibition. |

ArtEx has become one of the largest, longest running exhibitions of local art in the State. As well as promoting the sale and appreciation of local art the event raises money to fund the Rotary Club’s youth activities. |

The showcasing of student art was particularly popular. Over the years the ArtEx organisers have sought student participation. Success was limited because the Exhibition coincides with year end assignments and exams. So Rotary member, Julie Jacobson, decided to photograph work from three schools and prepare a Power Point presentation which cycled continuously on a large TV screen provided by one of the Event’s sponsors. |

And the end result? Over 1,100 people visited ArtEx; $25,000 was returned to the art community in terms of prizes and purchase value; and $11,000 raised to fund the Rotary Club’s youth activities, which includes the exciting project named ArtBook - a web based showcase of local students' Art. |

We are indebted to our sponsors. 34 companies and individuals supported ArtEx 2010. Without their support the Exhibition would not be possible. The Central Coast Council continues to be the event principle sponsor and a large group of volunteers from the Rotary Club of Ulverstone West and the North West Art Circle commit their time and expertise to make ArtEx happen.
A big Thank You to our Community Works Partners.
